More new businesses emerging on University as a result of the Green Line, with a huge range in the cuisines and cultures represented.

Mixed-income housing in Frogtown


The BROWNstone lofts, a mixed-income housing development on University, features this public green space for neighborhood residents. Includes some art displays.

I thought it was interesting how Metro Transit has chosen to summarize this area in a brief description below the transit maps on the Green Line platform. There is clearly a lot of thought being put into how this neighborhood is interpreted by those who visit, with a lot of focus placed on its identity as an artist community. IMG_3992

Edgcumbe Road

IMG_3915I was struck by the number of trees on this street, which provides additional privacy to homes that are already on a relatively secluded street. I think that also adds to the affluent feel of the area, despite some of the houses being pretty humble in size and style.
