The Past


The outdated flour mill towers over the present day farmers market with its iconic bold gold lettering: “GOLD MEDAL FLOUR.” Minneapolis was established in this location due to the jobs and industry that this mill had created, thus causing the landscape to be shaped by the individuals who came to this area seeking for work. The importance of the mill in the history of this city is not forgotten, the building purposely being kept and turned into a museum.
