Flour Power

MCM- past

This display in the museum was one of my favorites because it represented how much more than “just flour” the mills were to the area and the people. The industry dictated their way of life, their culture. Milling became a part of everyday life. It was on license plates, in songs, music boxes… when something is as much as a driving force behind one aspect of a place as the mills for Minneapolis, it rarely remains “one aspect.”
